Look at the honker on that guy! What do they eat? I assume they tip down and feed bottom type stuff. But, if you can enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. I'm down here in SWGA and am thinking of joining Ducks Unlimited, which I'm told conserves habitat. And, down here, that's really important because alll development is welcome. Jobs you know. Thanks in advance.
Thanks, Mr. S. Sure do appreciate the good information. And, I'll follow up on Ducks Unlimited based on your expert opinion of their value to the ducks of the world. Sir, I had no idea you'd be replying yourself, or I would have used a more decorous word than "honker". Please accept my apologies. But, as to honkers, you oughta see mine!

We shovelers use our "honker" to strain out the water and hold in a bunch of tiny swimming critters--crustaceans--and some seeds, too. Yum, yum!
I hate hunting, but LOVE Ducks Unlimited. Those guys do indeed protect habitat for us ducks, and also a lot of other birds that live near us.
